Over the past 48 hours we have seen headlines like this:

Tiger released from Hospital after minor accident

From Health Central Hospital and Tiger Woods’ office:

Yet all around the Globe we see and hear about tradgedys that thousands of people are starving, from malnutrition,

Aids, Drought problems ,Floods etc.

Yet here in UK almost every National paper carried whole front page to tell us about poor Tigers altercation with a Fire Hydrant,

and that there were rumors of something more unpleasant behind the accident? Golly gosh, I wonder how many millions of extra

dollars does that put in Mr Woods Bank?

Give over print about news worthy things we can all help to prevent or learn by?

ISP’s Are they worth the MONEY?

ISP’s are they Value for MONEY?
The past year has been one of continuous drops of both speed and signal from my ISP’s, Initially I was paying £23.00 per month and getting broadband strength signals around 1.5mb sometimes this would increase to 2.8. I would contact the Support and get an out of country contact centre, normally Indian origin. Because of the poor service I decided to look elsewhere and I decided to go with TalkTalk the AOL UK Franchisee, mainly because their price was just £17.49 per month and included Free Phone service and local calls. The immediate effect noticed was the increased signal strength and speed of the signal was and remains over 3.5mb up to 4.75mb.
So you would think I would be ecstatic with the improvements to my ISP provider broadband provider? The past week or two have been full of drop outs low signal strength and continuous interruption to service, this is not confined to my area but across the UK. Once again I am entangled with the Indian call centre’s, I appreciate their technical ability but am unable to comprehend what many of them are saying because of the strong accents they have and different dialects. One big problem is that they do not fully comprehend the Western World Social attitudes, because they have nothing to compare it with in their own countries?

The common theme that comes through from almost all ISP Broadband suppliers is first the hype which one is the best and competitively priced, once you make the choice and sign usually to a 12 or 18 month contract, you begin to find the discrepancies and failings they don’t tell you about.
However, with the first and by enlarge the main reason you will be given why your speed is slower than you were led to believe, is simply, that you are sited to far away from the telephone exchange?
This has been a standard reply I have had from almost every call centre I have first called for support to cure slow speed.
I asked a communications engineer who works for the biggest company in UK; how far away from an exchange would I need to be to experience a drop in speed below what is currently advertised?
He looked at my situation and found the feeder exchange for my line was less than 3 kilometres from my home, it was a new fast exchange and should be able to provide above speed requirements for my case and he believed such exchanges had little or no problems up to 8 kilometres, but he knew that the exchange rebuttal was regularly used to put clients off?
Also a rumour abounds that Time Warner who sold the AOL UK franchise License to Carphone Warehouse Group, have delayed the promised upgrades of software to TalkTalk the Carphone Warehouse Trading name for the former AOL UK business.
Because of the fast growth of TalkTalk and its unparalleled success, Time Warner seems to be asking for a larger royalty fee from Carphone Warehouse, to accommodate its massive growth and profits far beyond those predicted by Time Warner when sold a couple of years ago?
The underlying question though which is even more disturbing, by selling low cost broadband contracts and gaining large client bases, does this mean that in the future the captive audience trapped to the cheaper contract will suffer the drop outs, therefore encouraging those low contract users to upgrade to a higher therefore more profitable scenario for the ISP? Is that a naive point of view? Perhaps!

So again my question stands, when are we the customers going to get the service and coverage we have been sold by our ISP’s, being fobbed off with software upgrades and re fitting etc, will we ever get what we have paid for?

The first So called business ventures

During my enforced recuperation I looked at how I could make a niche for myself on the INTERNET there were and are many opportunities which present themselves. The problems though are simple, without pre-planned and pre-budgeted forecasts, usually they are all doomed to failure?

The extremely inventive Guru will dress up his product in such a way, to give you the impression that everything is done for you. Right from the very first moment, you subscribe to their program, the extra’s appear very quickly in the form of advertising and other bits and pieces needed to run the program effectively.

The truth of the matter soon becomes apparent, when you realize that you are expected, to not only pay your monthly subscriptions, but you also have to fund many other parts of the chosen business you have agreed to? Your Guru will invariably direct you to another sure fire program, that will enhance your participation in the one you have already subscribed to, making you ever more money. Well, that’s the usual promise?

When I set out to begin my own venture within the Internet community, I chose an affiliate program, mainly due to the fact I would not need my own product to sell and because the monthly fee was just $5 so the investment was minimal? Also I was going to be shown how I would best explore ways to supplement a second income stream. The program I joined gave me much support and also helped me create a paying downline through my commitment to bringing other interested people to my downline team and in turn into the program. Within weeks I was making up to $200 per month in commission, which was a fair return for my recruitment of new downline members and also I had decided to join another similar program, that involved yet again affiliate marketing. But with a matrix system that would explode my income stream.

The first four months in this program was a very productive period, I saw my income jump up and past $800 in a month plus the first program which also had grown, although slower this was bringing my total monthly earnings over $1,100 a month, and boy was I on a roll. Then suddenly the 2nd income stream ceased overnight and the company involved was shown to be a corrupt ponzee, it collapsed owing me $4600 in back commissions. I was downhearted as were many thousands of others, the program owners said it was a glitch and we would soon regain our lost earnings, but nothing other than false promises ever arrived in the emails? So a lesson was learned and I turned my full attention to my first program that was still slowly growing my monthly commissions and I began to a group within this program to help and show them the right and wrong ways to making money on the internet.

For many months we ran a successful Book Club where the members all contributed to making our very own International Recipes From Around The World, Our club was known as The EasyBookTeam, we were at one time 175 members strong and were from all over the world, these were grand days and very productive, our first recipe book is still being used as a gift to attract new members to the original EasyBookTeam Members, they certainly were grand caring and sharing moments and many ex members still refer to the excitement gained from being a member.

Here then is his own story on how he has affected and helped others to make their mark in internet marketing.

My Internet voyage began in the early 1997, looking for new ways to keep my own Distribution and Wholesaling Company in its number 1 spot, mostly learning about the role the internet could help shape my own product lines and general business.

At that time many companies were very aware, that the arrival of the Super Highway, now known generally as The Internet. Was the future for their own expansion and diversification?

Most corporate and major companies were realising that opening up their businesses to the world through a looking glass window, or monitor for all to see, was in the main abhorrent and against any of the current vogues of business dealings ever attempted.

However technology was rampant and could not be ignored, if you did it was at your own peril?

Around this time my own personal catastrophe befell me, in the form of a major illness. The onset of my medical problems put me firmly on the sidelines and for a year and a half I was totally out of it, having to cope with the dramatic changes to affecting my ability to maintain my own businesses and not being able to capitalise on the dramatic growth that the Internet was able to provide. Probably my biggest mistake was not having the staff with the same outlook on the technological events which was right before their eyes; after all we had only just started to run our own software systems to keep track of our sales, stock profit and loss. Most of my staff was so busy being persuaded to accept the ease and simplicity of computerisation, I had no one with the same foresight I had?

Eventually, my health improved, but sadly not quick enough, I had regained about 80% of my former fitness, but due to the rapid changes in the way that business was now being conducted, I was unable to save my own businesses, neither could I rescue the loss of major clients during my enforced confinement.

During my months of recuperation I had kept myself aware of the Internet explosion, I tried various ways to utilise this awakening giant to help me save my own failing businesses. But hands on was important and I was still not able enough to do this.

If the same thing occurred today as it did in 1999, I could easily have ensured the continuation and growth of my businesses via the Internet, this technology has incredible potential to accelerate many businesses to massive growth and wealth.

Something I needed in bucket loads in 1999, but it was not to be, hindsight would make us all millionaires? Eventually, in 2001 I had to liquidate 25 years of hard graft and look to start afresh.

The past years have been a nightmare for me, due in the main to suffering from Anxiety and Panic Attacks. With my partner we have sought and sifted through streams of published articles on the subject, and recently we found in one of the forums what we felt could be the answer to our searching, its called

The frequency of these anxiety and panic attacks, have been very hard to cope with, because they are so regular happen so often, they have plunged me into a state of deep despair, The more anxiety and panic attacks I had, was making me very depressed, life for both me and my partner was almost like life sentence.

Now in my later years, the passing of time has been very hard. Due mainly, to failing health and various chronic illnesses which I have to cope with day to day, this has not helped.

Due to my current ailments and chronic conditions, I was limited to the type of treatment I could choose, because of the drug therapy I was on, this gave us cause for concern about seeking a drug based solution. Together we looked first at alternative health treatments for anxiety, we both felt that an alternative treatment for anxiety would have greater benefits for me, due to my many illnesses. We continued looking through many sites on the Internet together for natural treatments for anxiety, and there are so many on offer. Todays IM strategy, shows why its essential to attract the maximum numbers of clicks to your website? Mainly to ensure that the product or subject you are promoting, gets seen by the masses of internet browsers.
